Holiday Update

I realize this is becoming less and less a Joggers blog, but bear with me for a bit.

From what can be seen from this vantage point, it looks like Le Joggers are in the process of hunkering down in the Jam hole to see if we can muster up some old fashioned busy treble, quite possibly with a new member taking over on 2nd axe.

In the mean time Cajun Gems are once again re-emerging, this time on the Doug Fir stage, December 18th. The sound might be TOO good for that. New songs? Fingers crossed.

Also hot on the scene is the new Jake Morris Loop Free One Man Band, also soon to emerge in a low lit cafe/bar near you.

AND finally, in addition to Grails, I (JM) am the new rhythm therapist for mega heart throbs the S---y H---s, meaning the long history of tour journaling will be continuing in the near future. I can hear the collective sighs from here.

Yours In Patient Confidence,
JM/Jggz

Jake Morris Group Wins CMJ! (In a Tie)

Outside, Leonard St,NYC, in front of the Knitting Factory:
"Hey! Hey! Please I have a Very Important Client coming in 15 minutes"screams a long blonde tressed executive in 5 inch heels as she pounds on the window and exterior of a converted ice cream truck, now the vessel to the bombastic BEATS and narratives of Andre the Giant and Lionel Richie that is Rob Walmart.
Earlier, a trenchcoat wing tip stormtrooper, still gliding through the streets via his golden parachute blasts "Hey, you gotta turn that down!" He doesn't ask.
As the grey hair skulks away the volume lowers .0000005 decibels for 2.5 seconds, then returns to full block party levels.
A woman and her two toy dogs, pause a moment to take it all in. Chantelle flees inside, "I'm gonna get in trouble".
Beastie Boy Mike D rides by on his bicycle, looking weathered and unfamous.

Then we played and it was pretty good.

News's

Hi there to anyone still paying any attention.
Looks like there is pretty solid evidence of an upcoming Joggers/Pan Tourismos split 7" in the works.
That's as many details that exist so far. Songs, number of songs etc. are all being sifted and lifted in the boredroom as we speak.
It will come out on Partisan, date TBA

...IN OTHER NEWS
Jake Morris Group, featuring Dan Wilson and Josh Wise from French Kicks will be playing 3 shows in NYC during CMJ.
check it all out at the myspace
If you are around come by. Joggers proper have not been there in quite some time.
And if the songs up on the JMGmyspace don't impress, don't let that deter you, as most of the material being performed will be a new batch of music created in NY, right in front OF YOUR EYES

Hope to have more for you soon!

Love,
us

RE: Tour Cd's

There have been some requests for The TOUR ONLY cd's. Unfortunately at this time they are going to stay true to their title, TOUR ONLY. Some of the material we are still hoping to 'officially' release and will let y'allz know if/when that becomes a reality. Sorry to those of you in areas we didn't cover on this tour, that was out of our hands, and to those who were in tour range, your loss bro. We still have one show in Seattle next weekend, might have some avails fer that show.

Sorry but hopefully with a little luck we'll have an official release, or @ least news of something in that area in the not too distant futura.

Meanwhile we are trying to adjust to civilian life, and hash out our future exploits. Thanks to all who came out again, and for all of your interest.

Let's Hang Out Soon!

Portland, Canada, Home

Home, great times. Thanks again to Stephen, Janet, Joanna, Mike, Mark and Dutch. A blast.
Victoria was arguably our best show to date, even though we played too short. And Vancouver came close, as well, but was trumped by the duck pin bowling, air hockey, pool jam that followed in it's wake.

Oh and Portland show goers, we won't be seeing you (from the stage) in a long time. Might have something to do with you being the lamest audience of an entire tour.

We'll be headin to Seattle next weekend for a show with our main bros. French Kicks.
Until then back to civilian life.
Thanks to everyone who came out, bought stuff and most of all, those who put us up (One Hotel whole tour!)

xx

Playin Catchup

Arcata:

Eug:

Oh Herro.
So we all got to sleep in our own beds last night after truckin home from Eugene.
Photo's and reviews can be found

Recap:
Sacramento, Did Yes cover in honor of the presence of THE Gary Young. Meeting/hanging with him is everything you'd expect, and a little more from Pavements first and best drummer.
Felt bad he couldn't have played it with us but we could barely play it ourselves. Laughed harder with the whole crew than I can remember. Stephen stunted our t shirt sales .Jicks were FIRE.

Arcata. Pulling up to the pizza place, expectations were honestly low, but turned into Humboldt Hoedown.
Dreaded Hippies chix shimmying on tables, sweating enough to steam the restaurant windows, and some of the best tour stories we have heard anywhere. Thanxxx doods!

So tonight we play our hometown, but the stay is brief, off to The Great White North early tomorrow, toodlez

Tuscon and Beyond

Great show at Plush. Major rowdies up front. Nice folks. Great to see Larry C. And thanks to Andrew for putting us up.
HOWEVER...Screw you Apple. We have three new(ish) macbooks and not a one of em has a fuctioning burner, and to boot we drove 25 miles to your wonderful store, after calling ahead mind you, and then you did not have the external burner in stock that 30 minutes earlier, you promised you did. Screw you and your flawed gear and annoying pissant 'greeter' who wouldn't get out of our face. This is why Dan quit your scam factory last year!

Anyway here are some photos I uploaded on my macbook with Intel Duo core processorTM

Albuquerque

Photo's from Dallas show @ The Granada Theater:

Joggers/Jicks Tequila tasting in Albuquerque.
I passed out and missed out. Take it away Dan...
weird vibes in new mexico. OUr soundcheck was like sitting on a island in the middle of the pacific. the staff, did not give a fuck. we retired to the basement and did pullups, made jokes about pee, shared tequila, and i smoked a lot. Show wasn't that bad, jicks were great even with the sound chasm and steve fell into his amp and knocked it over. yes! all well and then we retired to some awesome super geeks house; they live in madmax style post apocalyptic pc wasteland, build spider robots, and drink absinthe. ALLLL RIIIGGHHHTTT.

Thanks Dan, Darrell compared our accommodations to walking into the movie Real Genius.
Off to Tuscon...

New Songs

There are two new songs now up on the Myspacessz.
One is called 'Talking At Keith' an upper midtempo-ish type.
The next 'Knock Kneed Heart' is more lower midtempo with a dash of honky-tonk, more honky than tonk with us as you know.
It would be cool to say we'd put a new one up a day, but it would also be cool to say "Holy shit dudes, I just won the Powerball!"

New dates are being added to the tour schedule, but I won't post them until it is complete. We are wicked stoked to be able to do our ole soft shoe on street corners across the nation again soon.

We are now accepting 'Good Selling' T-shirt ideas.
We have AWESOME bad selling ideas.

But those wont put biodiesel in the Vanagon you know?
